Chilpancingo is a place full of stories and legends where magic can be found among its plazas and boardwalks that, by the shadow of pine and oak trees, protect the “Nueva Plaza Cívica Primero Congreso de Anáhuac”, which belongs to the denominated Blue Touristic Circuit of Chilpancingo.
Within this circuit, the Government Palace, the House of Representatives, the Superior Court of Justice can be found, all built with a neo-Classic design, alongside the Regional Museum of Guerrero, a historic place where the document “Sentimiento de la Nación”, written by José María Morelos y Pavón, was signed.
Inside this facility, an extensive mural telling the history of México can be found, and the periods of the Conquest, the Independence, the Reform and the Mexican Revolution are represented.
The Touristic Circuit also includes the churches known as San Mateo, San Francisco and Santa María de la Asunción, the latter tracing back to the 16th Century.
