The city of San Luis Potosí, known for its magnificent architecture, full of history which truly comes to life. It stands out with its streets and facades which will welcome you with open arms. Its Historic Downtown houses many beautiful mansions, baroque and neoclassical churches, museums, shops, and restaurants. Most of these stunning buildings are built using pink stone, giving a sense of visual harmony to this historic urban landscape. A place not to be missed is Real de Catorce, a living legend of a town. Explore its ruins, ride on horseback, or ride a “Willy,” a 4x4 from the 60’s, as it zooms through the desert. You must experience the almost surreal nature of Xilitla, a place which seems almost dedicated to inspire you, opening its doors to fill you with marvel and fascination. Located in a mountainous portion of land in the Huasteca region, it impossible for it not to be enchanting. Walk its steep streets, visit all of its attractions, and immerse yourself in the fog which can shroud the town during some of the year. Valles City is one of the parting points when visiting archaeological zones, waterfalls, biosphere reserves, or many of the other cultural bounties offered in the Huasteca region.
