Palenque received the title of Magical Town very recently, on December 1, 2015.
It is known as the city of the mysterious King Pakal, and is one of the most notable sites in the Mayan world.

Visit The Palace, the biggest archaeological complex in the area, made up of fascinating stairways, subterranean passageways, rooms, patios, and corridors.
In the higher part of it you will find an amazing tower with a stairway, as well as many platforms with different sculptures and other art.
The famous Complex of the Crosses includes a series of buildings like the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Cross, and the Temple of the Foliated Cross.
Built by the children of King Pakal, in the interior of the Temple of the Cross without a doubt merits a visit.
