There are infinite tones of red, blue and russet used on majolica ceramic, art and trade that the priest Hidalgo left as legacy to the indigenous people of the region, and today, it is one of the main activities of the town, as well as the preparation and sampling of artisanal ice cream, that have the most diverse colors and the most peculiar of tastes you will ever encounter.

This location is considered to be one of Guanajuato’s five Magic Towns and a protector of the Nuestra Señora de los Dolores Parish, as well as being an imprint of the history of the Independence.
This city is waiting to pamper you with colonial ambiances and traditional gastronomy, which is why you must try “barbacoa de hoyo” (shredded meat) that is usually accompanied with chili sauce and red ants.
José Alfredo Jiménez, Mexican songwriter, was born in Dolores, and his remains were laid to rest here, as well.
